Doctors and Technicians

Dr. Ben Yanofsky, VMD - veterinarian, owner

A native of New Hampshire, Dr. Ben Yanofsky grew up with a strong love of all animals, having not only cats and dogs as pets, but guinea pigs, salamanders, hedgehogs, ferrets, a snake, and a fat tailed gecko. It was this love of animals that propelled his drive to study animals in college, which took him to University of Miami’s Marine Biology program. After undergrad, Dr. Ben went on to complete his Veterinary Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Between completing his degrees, he spent time traveling and furthering his education with externships that took him all over the world to work with animals in both Africa and Asia.

Dr. Ben accepted a position as an emergency and critical care veterinarian at EVH in Ann Arbor, Michigan for several years, after which he took his talents to SAVES in Lebanon, NH.

As the owner of Linwood Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Ben is consistent, patient, and bringing quality modern medicine to the Lincoln and Woodstock communities. While Dr. Ben is happy to offer his expertise in emergency care at our facility, he is also highly skilled in general surgery, companion animal dentals, and emergency surgery.

Outside of work he enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time with his wife and their three dogs: Newfoundland Herbert and Samoyeds Boris and Ivan.

Steph Yanofsky - practice manager

Originally from Michigan, Steph has a background in finance and a passion for animals. You can find her overseeing the daily operations of our facility, supporting our medical personnel, all things inventory, financial, and scheduling, etc. One of Steph’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with clients and provide compassionate support during times of difficulty, whether is a difficult diagnosis or a lengthy treatment plan, she is always there to provide guidance and reassurance to our clients.

In addition to being an integral part of our team, Steph is a homebody who enjoys working in the garden, fiber crafts, reading, and the fascinating worlds of trash TV and mycology.

Lexie Willey - veterinary technician

Lexie is our newest team member, and she comes to us with years of experience from both rural and advanced veterinary facilities. Growing up around large animals on a farm, she is an exceptionally gentle technician who has a comprehensive understanding of veterinary medicine, from administering medication to conducting lab work and monitoring anesthesia. She is especially dedicated to building strong bonds with our patients and we feel fortunate to have Lexie on our team.

When she’s not working, Lexie enjoys spending time at home with her family and her pets: a Pitbull named Kane and her new kitten Ringo.

Baileigh Stillings - veterinary technician

Baileigh is new to our team as of 2023 and brings a highly conscientious and patient approach to her role as veterinary technician. Prior to LVC, she spent time working at a large veterinary hospital on the Seacoast for several years. Baileigh is particularly skilled in the areas of venipuncture, anesthesia administration and management, client communication, and appropriate restraint on even the most nervous patients.

Outside of work, Baileigh enjoys macrame and spending time in her garden, as well as caring for her large animals (especially her horse Bradley) and her beloved Black Lab Axel aka The Mayor.

Abigail Downing - veterinary technician

Abby is a skilled veterinary technician who has been an integral part of our team for seven years. Her unwavering dedication to our team, exceptional patient care, and compassionate relationships with our patients and clients make her an invaluable asset to our team and we are grateful for her contributions. In addition to her extensive knowledge of our facility, Abby routinely provides surgical prep, radiology, laboratory work, medication/treatment administration, and assists our practice manager when needed.

Outside of work, Abby enjoys tending to her houseplants, and spending time with her horse Flash, donkey Stella, and her kitty Melvin the Spicy Meatball.

Lisa MacKay - veterinary technician

Lisa, our resident bear guru, has been with us for nine years. For the last 24 years, Lisa has been dedicated to caring for the bears at Clark’s Trading Post. LVC is very fortunate to have Lisa on staff, as her patient advocacy and knowledge of animal behavior make her a standout veterinary technician.

Lisa’s interests are building client relationships and education for those who have questions on overall animal enrichment and fulfillment, as well as routine health screenings and preventative medicine.

On temperate nights, Lisa can be found in town with her husband on walks with her dogs Kubota, Roxy, and Tucker or taking care of her abundant garden.

Anna Cariglia - veterinary technician

Anna brings a positive and calming energy while connecting with our patients and their owners. She strives to build positive relationships and gain a gentle trust with our patients. We are thrilled to share that Anna was recently accepted into University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine and will be departing in August 2023 for her next chapter.

When Anna is not at the clinic or studying, you can find her hiking, snowboarding, or Netflixing with her kitty Parker.
